Jeffrey Marshall and the Foundation along with the Breedloves Bring a Ray of Hope to Blues Fest 2014

On Tuesday, July 22nd at 6:00pm, Todos Santos Park is packed with people of all ages. They are looking forward to a great night of Acoustic Guitars and Blues.

Jeffrey Marshall is a unique bass player, harpist and lead singer. You see Jeffrey has no arms!!! and yet he has managed to write music, sing and play the bass guitar. Because he has no arms, Jeffrey has learned to play the bass guitar with his feet. Jeffrey has performed all around the world giving hope to so many people, and now Jeffrey Marshall brings his original style of music to Concord California.

The Breedloves are Jay Kirkland on lead guitar & Barbara Gorin on 12 string & vocals. Jay has been playing guitar since he was a child, and is an avid song writer, and able to play all styles. of music, from jazz to blues, to metal to fusion. Barbara has been strumming the guitar since she was young as well and has a particular love for playing the 12 string. Together, they have a musical chemistry you will love. Both Jay and Barbara are involved with a wonderful children’s music charity, Guitars Not Guns, particularly the Contra Costa County, California Chapter. Jay is an instructor and sees the joy he can bring to kids through the gift of music. He learned early on how music saved him from destructive behaviors, and believes strongly in what Guitars not Guns stands for.

“Fleetwood Mask” The Ultimate Tribute to Fleetwood Mac and an Enchanting Live Experience

CONCERT REVIEW:

As I arrived to the Festival I could hear the band playing “Oh Well” originally recorded by “The Rockets” in 1979. A great song to get the crowd going, and so they Did. I’ve seen a lot of tribute bands in my time and also played in the popular Chicago based AC/DC Tribute band Dirty Deeds. So, I am no stranger to the world of Tribute bands. The band continued to roll out crowd favorites like Dreams, The Chain, You Make Lovin’ Fun, Sara, etc… Most of which are from the white album and Rumors. I have to admit that the band really looked a lot like Fleetwood Mac, and really pulled off a great live show. The harmonies were very good, with Barbara Martin (Christine McVie), and Steve Roberts (Lindsey Buckingham) pulling off some great backing vocals as well as their lead spots. But what really won me over was Claudette Rodrigues (Stevie Nicks) who not only played the part of Stevie Nicks to a tee, but had managed to pull off her unique vocal style. At one point during the show I found myself getting lost in the Enchantment of Fleetwood Mac, Yes! it was an Incredible experience. There was great chemistry on stage with Don Oberempt (Mick Fleetwood), Paul Jones (John McVie) and Debra Blondheim – backup vocals, percussion and keyboards rounding out the sound. Claudette Rodrigues (Stevie Nicks) Enchanted the Audience by walking out into the crowd and dancing with her many delighted fans. As the set came to an end, the band closed with the popular “Go Your Own Way”. By the time it was over the crowd demanded one more song. One More! One More! The crowd chanted, and so the band had litte choice but to play another song, and so for an encore’ the band played “Stand Back” and had the crowd on their feet the entire time. ~Jeffrey A. “THE HOUSE of EVIL” Coming to Blu-Ray

Massimiliano (Max) Cerchi’s New Film “The House of Evil” will be filmed this Summer and there is already a lot of excitement surrounding this film. Max has been making horror films for more than twenty years, and some of his films have sold over 250,000 DVD’s Worldwide, such as Hellinger, Holy Terror and Carnage: The Legend of Quiltface. So, with the news of his new film “The House of Evil” going into pre production, SGL Entertainment was quick to secure a DVD, Blu-ray, VOD and Cable TV deal with Max and Dark Mountain Pictures. And, the Film has already been pre sold to Japan, Sweden, and several other countries.

THE HOUSE OF EVIL is about a couple who buy a beautiful house only to find out that the house is a portal to Hell… and, literary, HELL will break loose. The story is a throwback of the 80’s horror films. The movie will be a mix between Poltergeist and Hellraiser, with lots of practical real special effects, and not as much CGI. The prosthetic designs will be done by CFX, the same company that is behind the effects for WOLVERINE and 2 GUNS. “There will be 3 different demons throughout the movie, each character will be a new horror icon in my opinion” quotes Massimiliano (Max) Cerchi.

Stephanie van Rijn

The movie stars Jeff Kim, Stephanie Van Rijn, Bill Pacer and Dawna Lee Heising. The main male lead role will be played by Jeff Kim, an amazing actor, Stephanie will be the female lead, she is a great actress from Canada, Bill Pacer will be playing Zoltar, a psychic who is sent to help the young couple, a co-lead role, and Dawna Lee Heising will be featured as the real estate agent. THE HOUSE OF EVIL will be filmed in 3D with an ultra high 4K Resolution. And will be Available Worldwide in 2015 via SGL Entertainment and their partners The MVD Entertainment Group along with Indie Rights Distribution.

Mary Lou Elliot and Al Smith Layed Down the Blues at the Concord Art, Wine and Beer Walk

The Art, Wine and Beer Walk in Concord California, where participants stroll around Todos Santos Plaza and Salvio Pacheco Courtyard while enjoying fine wine, craft beer and appetizers, viewing beautiful art, and meeting local artists. Musical Performers included Mary Lou Elliot, Al Smith and

Mary Lou Elliot

Mary Lou Elliot comes from a musical family, and her husband used to work with Mick Fleetwood. Fleetwood Mac and their entourage helped to encourage Mary Lou to continue playing the flute and pursue her dreams as a performing artist.

Al Smith

Al Smith has been entertaining fans in the bay area for decades. He first came onto the scene with his band the Al Smith Group and released the popular Vinyl 45′ Young Girls on Ice “Afco Records” 1981. You can now find Al Smith performing his Blues Rock Sound at Festivals and venues throughout Northern California.

Behind the Scenes of Godzilla 2014

Godzilla is an upcoming American science fiction monster film featuring the Japanese film monster of the same name in a reboot of the Godzilla film franchise. The film retells the origin of Godzilla in contemporary times as a “terrifying force of nature” in a style faithful to the Toho series of Godzilla films. The film is directed by British filmmaker Gareth Edwards, written by Max Borenstein and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston.

The film is a co-production between Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, the latter of which will also distribute the film worldwide, except in Japan where it will be distributed by Toho. It is the second Godzilla film to be fully filmed by an American studio, the first having been the 1998 Godzilla. This film is scheduled to be released in North America on May 16, 2014 and Japan July 25, 2014

Fifteen years later, Joe remains convinced that a natural disaster was not responsible. He believes there’s been a high-level cover-up. His quest for the truth reunites him with the now-grown Ford (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) who works as a US Navy lieutenant.

Among those drawn into joining their mission are Ford’s wife Elle (Elizabeth Olsen) and military commander Admiral Stenz (David Strathairn). Japanese scientist Ichiro Serizawa (Ken Watanabe) quickly recognises that man’s abuse of nature is responsible for the mighty, radiation-enhanced monster known as Godzilla to awaken.

The German Rock Band UNBREAKABLE Inks Deal with Dark Star Records

Dark Star Records in Association with Sony Music Entertainment has just signed the German Hard Rock Metal Band UNBREAKABLE. In the last few years UNBREAKABLE have built up a fan base in many European Countries such as Greece, France, Portugal, Poland, Russia, Japan, Australia, North and South America. The band has recorded their first album “KNOCKOUT” with producer HERMAN RAREBELL former Scorpions drummer and hit writer of songs like “Rock you Like a Hurricane”, “Blackout” and many more. The album was recorded at the PRINCIPAL STUDIOS in Muenster Germany and the KIDROOM STUDIO with MICHAEL VOSS who is the producer for Michael Schenker.
