Matt Mercado has quite a history of success. Matt Mercado first ripped up the Chicago scene in the early ’90’s with local legends Daisy Chain, leading to a seven figure recording deal with Mercury Records (Kiss, Bon Jovi). The band changed its moniker to Mindbomb and recorded their first CD under the production of Max Norman (Mega Death, Ozzy Osborne). MindBomb went on to tour the US and Europe extensively opening for rock legends such as Kiss and Rob Halford. Mindbomb also gained critical recognition and many major motion picture sound tracks including the classics Cliff Hanger-Sylvester Stalone, and Kalifornia-Brad Pitt. Matt then went on to release two national CD’s with Pivot Man on Mystic Records (Warner Brothers) in 2000 and 2002. Various tracks from both CD’s were heavily featured on MTV’s Real World and Road Rules. In late 2005 Matt released his power metal group Supermercado’s “Scary Baby”. An internationally acclaimed album that garnered Matt the prestigious “Most Under Rated Artist of The last 20 years” in the 20th anniversary issue of Metal Edge Magazine. And, Supermercado along with Fall Out Boy, and Rob Zombie are featured in the Sierra Video game “Flat Out III”.

Akçay’s first album was distributed in more than ten countries, and he followed up with three more albums in the following years. Akçay is very popular in his home country of Turkey, and is now crossing over borders to bring us his new album PARANOID STAR. Dark Star Records is pleased to announce that they have inked a deal with Ambitious Noise Featuring Guitar Wizard Mike Ohm, and will be re releasing their classic Full Length album Eat Your Words. Ambitious Noise was formed in the early 90’s and are based out of Erie Pennsylvania. Inspired by Billy Sheehan, Rush, Dream Theater, Steve Vai and Jeff Beck the band soon developed their own original progressive sound. Throughout the 90’s the band spent a lot of time on the road, winning audiences over in every city they would perform in. The band released the instrumental album “Eat Your Words” in 1993, and are re releasing the Album on the Dark Star Records Label in 2016. Mike Ohm is also the new Lead Guitar Player for the popular Chicago Hard Rock Cover Band “Black Diamond”. Lloyd Freeze Vice President and A&R for Dark Star Records sealed the deal with Mike Ohm. “It’s Great to have a Full On instrumental Jam Album on the Label” quotes Jeffrey A. Swanson, President of Dark Star Records. And, I think this level of talent should really get out to the masses. Dark Star Records Signs Blackjack Sass

Kalin Elizabeth Daniel is no stranger to music, playing many different instruments at a very young age has given this sassy young girl from Chicago all the ammo she needs to make it in this highly competitive all too saturated musical wasteland.

Kalin in her early 20’s is already making the scene in Chicago, playing clubs like the Elbo Room, and Many other Popular night spots. Inspired by the likes of Janis Joplin, Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette and Jewel, Kalin has managed to forge her own sound and has many stories to tell about love and betrayal.

SALLY STRUTHERS from the TV Show “All In The Family” Goes Metal with the Dark Star Records Band CRUEL SEASON

Sally Struthers moved quickly into stardom in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In Five Easy Pieces (1970) she was in a nude sex scene with Jack Nicholson, but achieved fame as Gloria Stivic on the 1970s sitcom, All in the Family. Producer Norman Lear found the actress dancing on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, a counterculture variety show whose writing staff included Rob Reiner.

So, what ever became of TV’s little blonde funny girl… Well…

Sally Struthers has had quite a career in show business, and keeps busy doing all kinds of acting work, but did you know that Sally is also a singer ???
