Indianapolis Metal Fest III Gets Rave Reviews From Fans

It’s been many years since the last Indianapolis Metal Fest, but well worth the wait. The third rendition of the underground metal festival was a huge success. With the help of Live Nation and their many Sponsors including Dark Star Records, the Festival Promoter Rob Mason was able to get the word out to metal fans worldwide. The Festival included heavy hitters Chimaira, Incantation, Vicious Rumors, The Browning, Acheron, Byzantine Affiance, Vindicator, Maggot Twat, Single Bullet Theory, Seven Witches along with Dark Star Records top performing acts Low Twelve, Bloody Mary, Conquest and Two Ton Anvil. Also included was a special performance by Rob Mason’s own band Betrayed With A Kiss. Jeffrey A. Swanson President of Dark Star Records would like to congratulate Rob and Sarah Mason on the success of Indianapolis Metal Fest III, and I would also like to thank Lloyd Freeze VP of Dark Star Records, Baby D Frost and all the kick ass bands who performed at this years festival. Dark Star Records along with SGL Entertainment have created a new promo video for the third incarnation of the Indianapolis Metal Fest that will feature more than 50 bands including: INCANTATION, ACHERON, FUNERUS, BYZANTINE, TEMPLE OF BRUTALITY, ANGEL VIVALDI, THE CONVALESCENCE, SADGIQACEA, VICIOUS RUMORS, LEATHERWOLF, SEVEN WITCHES, SINGLE BULLET THEORY, MOBILE DEATHCAMP, SYSTEMS, EVOKED, FALL OF THE ALBATROSS, BURNING THE DAY, A FALL TO BREAK, ELCTRIKCHAIR, BEYOND AGONY, OF CREATIONS, EYES OF FIRE, CONQUEST, TWO TON ANVIL, LOW TWELVE, BLOODY MARY and Many More. Headliners Announced For Indianapolis Metal Fest 2013

Festival promoters for Indianapolis Metal Fest have released the lineup for this year’s event, slated to take place on September 20th and 21st. True to their promise to put on a European-style underground metal festival that rejects the American “Corporate Festival” trend that has dominated — and according to festival founder Rob Mason — commercialized, castrated, and attempted to make heavy metal mainstream, the lineup is chock full of some of the most brutal, underground artists in metal. Some of these bands include DECREPIT BIRTH, INCANTATION, ACHERON, FUNERUS, the recently reunited BYZANTINE, TEMPLE OF BRUTALITY — a band featuring Megadeth bassist David Ellefson and ex-WASP drummer Stet Howland, guitar virtuoso ANGEL VIVALDI, THE CONVALESCENCE, SADGIQACEA, metal legends VICIOUS RUMORS and LEATHERWOLF, progressive metallers SEVEN WITCHES, SINGLE BULLET THEORY, MOBILE DEATHCAMP featuring ex-GWAR member Beefcake The Mighty, and AS SHADOWS COLLAPSE! Also, true to their belief that Metal is in desperate need of new heros, IMF promoters have included a number of lesser known metal bands hand-picked from around the United States, including bands like MAGGOT TWAT, SYSTEMS, EVOKED, FALL OF THE ALBATROSS, BURNING THE DAY, A FALL TO BREAK, ELCTRIKCHAIR, BETRAYED WITH A KISS, DELIVER US FROM EVIL, OF CREATIONS, EYES ON FIRE.

The Festival also features Dark Star Records Artists CONQUEST, TWO TON ANVIL, LOW TWELVE and the all girl teenage hard rock metal band BLOODY MARY. Venue and ticket information will be released at the end of April.
